Magical realism and feats of fantasy invade the cinema in this Indian movie directed by Soumitra Ranade. A Mumbaite named Aditya (Jaaved Jaaffery) washes up, almost literally, on the shores of the village of Shundi after a boating accident. As if that weren't enough, he discovers he's ten times bigger than the rest of the people living there. Shundi is besieged by a demon, and the town's residents look to Aditya for help. Can he truly be a hero?Germany released, PAL/Region 2 DVD: it WILL NOT play on standard US DVD player. Afraid of the 'giant' Aditya, their army chief Chattan Singh, orders his men to tie up the intruder. Aditya eventually wins their trust by saving them from the gigantic cannibal Jhamunda, who is actually a slave of the evil Chattan Singh.
